I spent my weekend reading Mario Puzzo’s novel “omerta”

It is his third novel that I have read after “fools die”, the

“last Don”. That

is if we exclude the world known god father that I have

watched over and over , and never tire watching. The odds

are that you have watched it too.

Mario Puzzo’s Novels are that addictives. One you start

reading one, you Simply can’t get enough.

The story line is captivating as usual invites , the reader ,

into The backstage of a scrupulousness criminal world. The

Characters involved in different sorts of vendetta, will try

To outsmart a pending death fate that’s hanging over their

Heads.

I enjoy polars a lot, tough I feel I hadn’t had the real deal as

Is about a novel about the crime world, in the United

States. New York, Italians families or “coscas”, battle for

power Over the city’s underworld.

fascinated by his style. Reading Puzzo is like watching a

thriller Movie. I couldn’t get myself to stop reading, page

after Page, I was glued to the book. The intrigue is nicely

conducted.and suspense is intense. There is always an

unexpected twist to watch out for a “hit man job” to be

done The book captivated me very much. The book was so

captivating; I read omerta

I suddenly catch myself dreaming.Dreamingi had become

some sort of underground Sicilian mobster. Sitting on my

Veranda in Sicily eating olive fruits , drinking some red

wine and puffing on a cigar while

waching the sun set over the hills .Mediterranean hills

where live, villagers that respected and fear my.Judgement

more than the

police. They put there trust in my fair hand like , feudal

vassals. I offered them my protection , I showed them love

and goodwill give them favors.

More than the government, I support them They shall never

fell hunger I am their Mobster Hero , their modern day

robin hood just Like Don Cleruzio or Astorre.Suddenly I

realize it is only a dream ,a fantasy.

I read , the novel throughout as if I was watching a movie.

Something like a fiction about some mobster’s vendetta for

man loss.Protagonists take risky gambles with the law. Fear

no law, or corrupted law enforcers but only god. They love their famillies and honor them. To those who enjoy these

great time killers, I recommend “omerta”. This is

an offer that you cannot refuse! I bet you are going to like

it!
